Calculate the cooking time for a turkey that weighs:

  • 3 kg – 140 minutes = 2 hours 10 mins
  • 4 kg – 180 minutes = 3 hours
  • 4.5 kg – 200 minutes = 3 hours 20 mins
  • 5 kg – 220 minutes = 3 hours 40 mins

You are visiting relatives over Christmas who live 120 miles away.

Calculate the journey time if you travel at an average speed of:

  • 30 mph = 4 hours
  • 40 mph = 3 hours
  • 60 mph = 2 hours
  • 90 mph (eg by train!) = 1 hour 20 mins
